The best screenshot API for most teams is ScreenshotOne or Urlbox if you need the widest feature set — country proxies, upload to your own S3 bucket, video and MCP — and Shareglint, SnapRender ($9) at 2,000 a month if price matters more than those extras. Every row below links the vendor's own pricing or docs page, read on 2026-11-08.
We make Shareglint, which is in the table with the same columns as everyone else, including the ones where we answer "No".

"Higher plans" means the vendor sells it, but not on its cheapest plan. "Not stated" means we did not find it on the vendor's pages, not that it is missing. Our row is read from our own configuration: a country exit counts only when one is switched on.
What they cost
What 9 APIs cost at 1,000 to 50,000 screenshots a month is on cheapest screenshot API, computed with one rule for everyone. At 2,000 a month: ScreenshotOne $17, Urlbox $49 (Hi-Fi, the cheapest plan for any site), ApiFlash $35, CaptureKit $16, SnapRender $9, ScreenshotAPI.net $29, Screenshotlayer $19.99, and Shareglint $9.
The APIs, one by one
ScreenshotOne. The fullest feature list on its cheapest plan: full page, PDF, ad and cookie-banner blocking, upload to S3, webhooks, MCP, HTML rendering and caching. Video, scrolling screenshots and "Choose IP location" start on Growth; GPU rendering is on Scale. Best at reliability details: "Pay only for successful requests", and cached screenshots do not count.
Urlbox. Every plan has full page, PDF, blocking and HTML to image; S3 and webhooks start on Hi-Fi, video, scrolling screenshots and proxies on Ultra. Its proxies target a country with pov_country (docs), and "we don't charge for requests that fail for any reason". Best at hard sites: "Ultra: Screenshots without getting blocked". There is no free plan, only a 7-day trial.
ApiFlash. Simple and cheap at the bottom: full page, ad blocking, cookie banners and "Export to S3" on every plan, Free included. Best at scale on a plain feature set, "built on top of AWS Lambda". It outputs only JPEG, PNG or WebP, no video, and takes URLs, not your own HTML.
CaptureKit. PNG, JPEG, WebP and PDF, upload to S3, ad and cookie-banner removal, an MCP server, and published per-credit overage. Best at one credit pool for screenshots, content extraction and AI analysis.
SnapRender. "No feature gating. Free and paid plans get the same capabilities": full page, PDF, blocking, webhooks, URL, HTML and Markdown input, and a hosted MCP server, with 200 free captures a month. Best at a free tier and scheduled captures with a change-detection webhook. It states no video, country or S3 option.
ScreenshotAPI.net. Full page, PDF, blocking and HTML on every plan; video and scrolling from Startup; an MCP server (npx -y @screenshotapinet/mcp). Its pages disagree on whether custom storage is on every plan or from Startup, so the table says "Not stated".
Screenshotlayer. A basic API with dedicated workers (10, 20 or 40 by plan) and FTP or S3 export from Professional. No PDF; blocking and country are not stated.
Thum.io. An embeddable image URL rather than a request-response API, billed per view, streaming the image "as soon as you request them". Full page only on the Better plan; no PDF or video.
Shareglint (ours). Real Chrome with cookie banners, ads and trackers blocked, full page up to 16,000 px, device presets, element screenshots, PNG, JPEG, WebP or PDF, a smooth scroll video, signed screenshot URLs, webhooks and an MCP server, on every plan. The same quota renders Open Graph images and HTML to image.
Where others are better than us
- Country: we cannot load a page from a chosen country: no country exit is configured. ScreenshotOne and Urlbox sell it on their higher plans.
- Your own bucket: we cannot upload to your S3; ScreenshotOne, Urlbox, ApiFlash, CaptureKit and Screenshotlayer can.
- GPU and anti-bot rendering: ScreenshotOne (GPU on Scale, stealth mode) and Urlbox Ultra are built for sites that block automated browsers; we do not sell a stealth mode.
- Free tier: SnapRender's 200 captures and ScreenshotOne's and ApiFlash's 100 carry no watermark that we found; our 100 do.
How to choose
- Hard sites, many countries, your own bucket: ScreenshotOne or Urlbox.
- Lowest price with full page, PDF and blocking: Shareglint, SnapRender ($9) at 2,000 a month; see cheapest screenshot API for other volumes.
- Screenshots and generated images on one plan: Shareglint.
- A free tier for a side project: SnapRender, ScreenshotOne or ApiFlash.
- Thumbnails embedded in a page: Thum.io.
