Telegram link preview not showing or not updating?

  1. Changed the tags? Send the URL to @WebpageBot in Telegram — it fetches the page again and updates the preview.
  2. No image? Check that og:image is an absolute https:// URL that opens without a login.
  3. Make sure the tags are in the server HTML; previews are built without running JavaScript.

How do I refresh a Telegram link preview?

Send the link to @WebpageBot in Telegram. It re-fetches the page; new messages then show the updated preview.

What image size does Telegram use?

Telegram publishes no size. 1200×630 (1.91:1) shows well in Telegram and meets every platform's documented minimum.

Why is there no preview at all?

The sender may have turned link previews off, or the page could not be fetched (login, bot protection, an error status). The checker shows whether the page answers and which tags it has.
