How it works

Our Chrome loads the page in a clean profile at desktop or phone width.
It scrolls to the bottom and back so lazy images and scroll effects load, removing ads and cookie banners on the way.
It captures the full height (up to 16,000 px) as one JPG — or PNG if you choose it.

What the free tool does — and what the API adds

Ads, trackers and cookie banners are blocked or dismissed before the capture, so you get the page, not the consent wall.
Two sizes here: a 1280 px desktop and a 390 px phone. The API has 13 device presets, any viewport and retina scale.
Full page captures scroll the page first so lazy images load, up to 16,000 px tall.
The Screenshot API adds dark mode, waiting for a selector, hiding elements, clicking, element-only captures, WebP and PDF, country exits and webhooks.

Questions

How do I take a full page screenshot without an extension?

Paste the URL here and keep "Full page" selected. Our Chrome renders the page on the server, so nothing is installed and it works from a phone too.

Is there a height limit?

Yes, 16,000 px. Pages with infinite scroll would otherwise never end. That is the same limit as the API.

Why JPG by default?

A full page is often 10,000+ pixels tall: as JPG it stays a few megabytes, as PNG it can be ten times larger. Switch to PNG for text-heavy pages where you want crisp edges.

Is it free?

Yes: 5 captures an hour from one address, with a small watermark. For more, the Screenshot API — 100 images a month free; a full page counts as two.
