## How it works

1. Our Chrome opens the page in a fresh profile, with no cookies, through an egress proxy that only reaches public addresses.
2. It blocks ad and tracker requests and removes cookie banners, then waits for the page to finish loading.
3. It captures the first screen — or scrolls and captures the whole page — and returns a PNG or JPG.

### Is this website screenshot tool free?

Yes, with no account: 5 screenshots an hour from one address, with a small watermark in the corner. The Screenshot API renders without it on paid plans and has 100 free images a month to try it.

### How do I screenshot a whole web page?

Choose "Full page". Chrome scrolls the page so lazy-loaded images appear, then captures it top to bottom in one image, up to 16,000 px tall. Pages with infinite scroll stop there.

### Can I see how a site looks on a phone?

Yes — choose "Phone 390". The page loads at 390 px wide with a phone user agent and touch, so responsive sites switch to their mobile layout.

### Why did the screenshot fail?

Some sites block automated browsers or show a bot check, some need a login, some take longer than our time limit. Private and local addresses are never reached: the capture goes out only to the public internet.

### Do you keep my screenshots?

The image is a link for you to download; it is not attached to any account or listed anywhere, and we do not keep a history of the URLs captured here.
