# Breaking news OG image template

A news photo with a solid kicker tab cut into its edge, a serif headline, the source and the time.

For news sites, local papers, newsletters and internal announcements that publish an alert per article. A long `headline` shrinks to fit, the location and the time end in an ellipsis, and without a `photo` the image area becomes a hatched wire pattern with the kicker word in outline. Wide frames put the photo on the right and the text on newsprint beside it; square and vertical frames put the photo on top with the kicker tab straddling its bottom edge.

## Fields

Every field is optional. Long text shrinks to fit instead of overflowing; an image field takes a public URL that we fetch on our side.

## Make it yours
