# Animated countdown OG image template

A big number on flip-board tiles that fall into place, with the event, date and site under it.

- Slug: `animated-countdown`
- Preview (real render): https://shareglint.com/storage/template-previews/animated-countdown.jpg
- Page: https://shareglint.com/en/templates/animated-countdown

Made for `format: gif` and `mp4`: each tile flips down in turn, the date rises in and the board ticks once more before the loop starts again. For launches, sales and conferences in posts, newsletters and Slack, where a GIF plays on its own. A still format (png, jpeg, webp) renders the finished board, so the same template also works as the og:image.

## Fields

Every field is optional. Long text shrinks to fit instead of overflowing; an image field takes a public URL that we fetch on our side.

| Field | Type | Description | Example |
|---|---|---|---|
| `number` | text | The number on the tiles, up to 6 characters, e.g. 12. (default: 10) | 12 |
| `unit` | text | What the number counts, e.g. days to go. (default: days to go) | days to go |
| `event` | text | Event or launch name above the board. | Frontend Summit 2026 |
| `date` | text | Date as you want it printed. | June 12–14 · Lisbon |
| `site` | text | Your domain or a short URL. | frontendsummit.io |
| `accent` | colour | Brand colour as hex, e.g. #6366f1. Drives buttons, highlights and the background glow. (default: #22d3ee) | #22d3ee |
| `theme` | dark | light | Colour scheme: dark or light. | — |

## Render it with one request

```bash
curl -X POST "https://shareglint.com/v1/images?wait=true" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer sk_live_YOUR_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{
    "template": "animated-countdown",
    "modifications": {
        "number": "12",
        "unit": "days to go",
        "event": "Frontend Summit 2026",
        "date": "June 12–14 · Lisbon",
        "site": "frontendsummit.io"
    }
}'
```

## Make it yours

accent and theme change per request. For anything more, copy the template into your account: you get an ordinary HTML template with the same fields that you can edit in the dashboard or through the API. If the slug is free on your account, the copy takes it — your integrations switch to your version without changing a line.

```bash
curl -X POST "https://shareglint.com/v1/templates/library/animated-countdown/copy" -H "Authorization: Bearer sk_live_YOUR_KEY"
```
